Glitz Africa Fashion Week 2026 Returns to Accra: Designers and What to Expect

Glitz Africa Fashion Week is returning to Accra from November 10 to 13, 2026, bringing together African designers, models, fashion enthusiasts and industry professionals for four days celebrating creativity, craftsmanship and the future of African fashion.

This year’s edition centres on the theme “Sustainable by Design: Shaping Africa’s Fashion Future,” placing sustainability, innovation and the growth of Africa’s creative industries at the heart of the conversation. With an anticipated lineup of established designers, emerging talent and industry-focused events, the fashion week is gearing up to be an exciting moment on Ghana’s fashion calendar.

Designers to Look Out For

One of the biggest highlights of Glitz Africa Fashion Week 2026 is its announced lineup of designers, including Christie Brown, Kenneth Tetteh, Bloom By Edzi Meta Kay, Diwisah, Jermaine Bleu, Bakus Oraya and BOYEDOE among others.

Together, these labels bring different creative perspectives to the runway, offering audiences an opportunity to experience the diversity of African fashion. The organisers have also announced a private showcase featuring Christie Brown on November 12, adding to the anticipation surrounding this year’s presentations.

Four Days of Fashion, Beauty and Creativity

The programme begins on November 10 with the Beauty Forum, which will explore the future of Africa’s beauty industry, including sustainability, entrepreneurship, local manufacturing and brand development.

On November 11, attention shifts to emerging talent through the Young Designers Green Fashion Talent Showcase. The initiative aims to support promising designers through runway exposure, mentorship and opportunities to connect with industry professionals.

The main runway programme begins on November 12 at The Underbridge Annex in Accra, bringing designers and fashion creatives together for the anticipated collections. The final day, November 13, will feature the Business of Fashion Seminar, a Fashion Graduate Show and the closing runway presentations.

The programme also includes a Trade Tent operating during the two main runway days, creating opportunities for fashion brands, textile manufacturers, beauty businesses and other creative enterprises to showcase their products and connect with potential customers.

Sustainability Takes Centre Stage

Beyond the runway, this year’s theme reflects an important conversation about how African fashion can grow while embracing more responsible production practices.

From using locally sourced materials and supporting artisans to reducing textile waste and strengthening local manufacturing, sustainability presents opportunities for African designers to build businesses that are both commercially viable and culturally grounded.

The Business of Fashion Seminar will further explore issues affecting the industry’s growth, including financing, export opportunities, manufacturing and the development of women-led businesses. These conversations are particularly relevant as African designers seek to expand their reach while navigating the challenges of production and international distribution.

By combining fashion presentations with industry discussions and opportunities for emerging designers, Glitz Africa Fashion Week aims to celebrate African creativity while drawing attention to the structures needed to support its future.

What to Expect From Glitz Africa Fashion Week 2026

Fashion enthusiasts can look forward to contemporary African designs, emerging creative voices, networking opportunities and conversations spanning fashion, beauty and entrepreneurship. The combination of established labels and young designers also offers a glimpse into the different directions shaping the continent’s fashion landscape.

With Accra once again serving as a meeting point for fashion creatives, the event provides an opportunity to celebrate the designers, models and businesses contributing to Africa’s growing influence in global fashion.

As the countdown begins, Glitz Africa Fashion Week 2026 promises to be about more than what happens on the runway. It is an opportunity to explore the future of African fashion, spotlight new talent and consider how creativity, sustainability and business can work together to shape the industry.
