Lawrence Robinson is an actor, model, and Influencer. You may have seen his Fashion Nova Men graphics making their way around the internet as women man crush Monday. Chris, the brother who lends a helping hand to empower ex-convicts in Tyler Perry’s Sistas, might be recognizable to you.
Here are some snippets of his interview with Jackson from The Official Black Magazine:
Robinson describes having a skin care routine and caring for your skin as acts of self-love. Self-care is the foundation of self-love. He describes how he experiences a fleeting rush of despair on days when he doesn’t look presentable, doesn’t get a haircut, or even skips the gym. Self-care for men focuses on developing a close relationship with oneself and is not associated with femininity.
He discusses how he doesn’t let social media attention feed his ego, but instead establishes his boundaries in real life because you can never be sure of other people’s true intentions.
Because his children, nieces, and nephews are the main reasons he performs what he does, Robinson wants them to be his legacy. He says he would like them to focus on being good people and being their most authentic selves.
