Recipe: Virgin Piña Colada (Non-Alcoholic)

The alcohol-free version of Piña Colada is nutritional and digestive, also delicious and refreshing. It’s either blended or shaken with ice. Both are delicious, but we tend to favor the blended version.

Piña Colada is a typical drink from Puerto Rico and from many islands in the Caribbean.

Ingredients (for three, 125 ml glass)

• 1 cup pineapple juice

• 1/2 cup milk or coconut cream

• 1 banana

• 1/2 cup crushed ice

Preparation

• Place all ingredients in blender and mix until reaching a thick texture.

• Sweeten to taste (it is not necessary)

• Garnish glass with a slice of pineapple and a maraschino cherry.

• Optionally, coat the glass rim with shredded coconut

• Serve in chilled glasses and sip with a drinking straw.
